UIT Burdwan is not the best place to get admission. The curriculum is old, so college life seems like a time killer. However, if inclined towards CSE or IT branch, look for colleges in Bangalore. It is the Silicon Valley of India and a hub for major IT companies.
Overall, UIT Burdwan University is not that great. However, if you are only considering the electrical engineering department of the institute, then it is quite good.
The faculties are extremely supportive and helpful towards students. They are well-experienced. But don’t expect to score easily. You will have to study hard to score good marks in examinations.
The institute offers good lab amenities as well. However, unlike many other universities, UIT Burdwan University does not quite provide the best technical or practical knowledge. It is up to you to make the most of your time at the institute.
The attendance percentage usually mandated by the University Institute of Technology is 75%. In case your attendance percentage comes out lower than that, supposedly up to 45% or 50%, it is likely that you would only be allowed to sit for the semester exams after paying a fine of INR 600 /-.
If your attendance drops lower than that, the administration can call your parents or you will have to apply for readmission. These are the official rules.
