Which is better, FMS (BHU), UBS (Chandigarh) or DSM (DTU)?

● Top Answer By Rituparna Nag on 19 Jun 21

Ans
I talked to a few of the students from these institutes and based on the reviews I got from them, I will say the preference order for most of the applicants is somewhat like the following. UBS (Chandigarh) > DSM (DTU) > FMS (BHU) Here is a brief highlight of the institutes. Institute UBS, Chandigarh DSM DTU FMS BHU Average CTC 9.44 LPA 5.5 LPA 6-7 LPA Highest CTC 55 LPA 18 LPA 15 LPA Major recruiters American Express, HSBC, Tolaram TCS, Outlook Group, KPMG IDBI Bank, Coal India, ICICI Bank Course fee 52,295 3.96 lakhs 2.42 lakhs Here are some of the parameters based on which you should judge these institutes. The most important thing you need to consider while deciding on a management institute is the faculty, alumni base, industry orientation of curriculum, and placements. The next important factor is the location of the institute and its connectivity from your place. Total number and recognition of the visiting faculty. Judging by all these factors, I will say that you should prefer UBS Chandigarh.

Ques
Which is better, IMI Delhi PGDM or UBS Chandigarh?

● Top Answer By Tanaya Bose on 09 Jul 21

Ans
I have a few friends from IMI Delhi and they vouch for their PGDM course. Here are some of the things that you need to know about the PGDM program offered by IMI. Location: As it is based in Delhi, the location is definitely an advantage. There are perks to living in the city with MNCs in close vicinity. There are also multiple hangout options and tourist spots you can explore. Accreditation: Being the country’s first corporate-sponsored B school has major advantages. It is associated with AMBA which puts the college in the league of Global MBAs. Faculty: The faculties are well-qualified and experienced in their fields which makes IMI a good choice for Management programs. Student exchange: With strong ties to global prominent B-schools, you will be given the advantage to spend a trimester abroad to study in a B-school of your choice. Alumni base: The alumni from the college are spread all over various industries and domains. This definitely plays as an advantage to the college’s credibility and rapport. Batch strength: A smaller batch strength is always better as far as placements are concerned. IMI has a very good batch strength with PGDM HR having a class strength of just 60 students. Peer learning: With a filtered admission process, the college chooses the best minds of the country. Therefore, you will have a good peer learning experience. Placements: Based on the recent trends, an average package of about INR 12.7 lakhs per annum with 100% placements can be expected from the institute. If you need more information, you can refer to TIME’s ranking and make a decision accordingly. Overall, IMI is a really good option. You should research well before going ahead.

Ques
Which is a better college to pursue an MBA, KJ Somaiya or UBS Chandigarh?

● Top Answer By Sachit Gupta on 04 Jan 21

Ans
For MBA, the brand name matters and is a very important factor to be considered while choosing the institute. UBS Chandigarh is not as well known as KJ Somaiya.  Deciding factors: If you are a fresher without any experience or expectations then this fact doesn’t even matter as it will be the beginning of their long career.  One of the important decisions is choosing specialization - Finance, Marketing, Ops, HR, Data Science, or anything else. You should do research about the courses offered at both the colleges and choose the one that meets your expectations. You should also ask yourself why you are doing an MBA and will it help your career. Highlight: Given below is a brief highlight of the MBA program at UBS Chandigarh and KJ Somaiya.  Details UBS Chandigarh KJ Somaiya Average CTC 9.5 LPA 10.8 LPA Fees 34,730 14.93 lakhs The decision depends on you. Do your research and choose the institute which will be best for you.
