The points below give a brief overview of the PSG Institute of Management, which has a sight better reputation than the other. Placement in PSGIM is moderate. The average package offered to students in MBA is around 5 LPA, which is considered to be not so decent for MBA graduates. For marketing, the placements are somewhat better. For students in finance, only two major companies, BNY Mellon and State Street visit the campus for placement in core finance jobs. So, most students in all branches of MBA go to sales profiles only. The highest package offered in the institute to date is close to 9 LPA, which is not very high. Academics in PSGIM are is moderate, which is nowhere close to that of IIMs and XLRI. The course offered in the institute is not residential and so, there is less focus on summer internships and practical knowledge-based learning.
