Course Curriculum Overview:

I am currently pursuing BMS from SSCBS. I chose this course because I want to do it and aimed for it from the 11th class. The faculty is really very awesome and educated but according to my 6 months' experience, I saw many teachers get changed and students get confused. These teachers who are in college for years have a really good education and they know how to teach and how to entertain the class.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The academics of this college is really unmatchable. I chose this course because I had to pursue BMS from the top college in India. Here, the faculty: student ratio is 1:20. The teaching methods used by the faculty made learning easy and simple. They use many practical methods of teaching by organising group presentations on a particular topic and also organising case competitions. External Examinations here occurred on a semester basis and there used to be internal exams eventually every month with a lot of test papers.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The subjects in BMS are very practical and BMS gives you the opportunity to explore more unlike BFIA and BSc as in the final year, you can choose your specialization in BMS. there are usually 70 to 75 students in one class and the faculty is very qualified. The exams are always conducted timely and attendance is something SSCBS is very strict about.

I took Bachelor of Management Studies (BMS) as it provides a holistic view of management. It can also be considered as Junior MBA as many subjects are similar in BMS & MBA. There are a lot of points mentioned by one of my cousins who graduated from SSCBS. He mentioned that the cricket league of CBS happens on a really small pitch-like lawn. Thus, if it were different then the CBC cricket league wouldn't happen on the lawn. NSIT, DTU, and IIT are the colleges that organize a good number of events, competitions, and workshops. So, at CBS the events, competitions, and workshops would have been doubled. The societies are formed in the college for various purposes and if they were in CBS the societies would save a good amount on the venue for the events. Also, the fresher’s party of CBS is supposed to take place at the college parking lot, which isn’t preferable to the students. Thus, the students would get a perfect venue for attending the freshers’ party. Overall, my brother mentioned that the campus isn’t anything without the students thus, it isn’t that different from other campuses.

Having some of my friends study in both colleges, I can say that enrolling in Shaheed Sukhdev for BMS would be much more apt than that of IIM Rohtak for IPM. Both the colleges hold their places enormously but Shaheed Sukhdev will be better due to their overall educational experience. There are several reasons for choosing it, some are: BMS as compared to IPM is a much older course. The placement of Shaheed Sukhdev reached heights due to their BMS course. The highest package offered to the students of Sukhdev College was around 18 LPA (latest). You can also get a chance to do your MBA from some other top IIMs in the country later on in life. Moreover, IPM Rohtak would be taking in its second batch, and hence no point in talking about placements. Having known some people graduating from both IIM Indore and Shaheed Sukhdev, I got to know that among the two Shaheed Sukhdev is a better option. They provide a better return on investment. It's better to have more options than to pay 30+ lakhs and get a job of 11 to 15 lakhs while paying the loan for 4 years. There is a very strong chance to go for the CAT or GMAT to pursue PGDM courses from B-schools which are higher in rank and more reputed than IIM Indore. Shaheed Sukhdev offers similar job opportunities like any top IIM or NITs. Being in Delhi you would get more industrial exposure for internships, jobs, seminars, etc. It has a much lower fee structure than IIM Indore.
