A Graduate from any discipline, with a minimum of 15 years of education and 50% or above (45% or above for SC/ST/PwD*) aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA at the graduation level is eligible to apply for IRMA’s PGDM (RM) programme.
The percentage of aggregate marks is to be calculated as per the practice followed by the concerned university or institution. If the university/institution does not have a scheme for converting CGPA into equivalent marks, IRMA will establish the equivalence by dividing obtained CGPA with the maximum possible CGPA and multiplying the resultant with 100.
Candidates in the final year of the bachelor’s degree may also apply if they would furnish evidence of meeting the minimum eligibility criteria by September 2024.
Final year candidates should have passed all of their graduation examinations before the start of the program (July 1, 2024). The candidates failing to meet the minimum eligibility criteria will be asked to withdraw from the programme. The Fees paid by such candidates will be forfeited unless IRMA fills their vacant seats through new admissions.
Latest Update: CAT Result 2023 has been released. Candidates can download the scorecard from the official website by using their login ID and username. XAT Results 2024 are out. Candidates can check their results by using their XAT ID and Password over the official website.
IRMA's PGDM in Rural Management is a two-year flagship program that trains young managers to take on responsibilities and serve rural and urban communities in India. The PGDM-RM program is recognized as equivalent to a PGDM degree in Rural Management by AIU. It is also accredited by NBA and AICTE. NIRF ranked IRMA at the 54th position in 2023. IRMA is ranked Grade 'A' by NAAC. The admission is based on CAT/XAT Scores followed by WAT and PI rounds.
In IRMA Placements 2023, the highest CTC offered was INR 26.50 LPA and the average CTC was INR 15.50 LPA. 242 students were placed with 399 offers. Some of the major recruiters included Axis Bank, ICICI Bank, Vedanta, HDFC Bank etc.

IRMA admission process consists of three stages that are mentioned below
Stage I: Preliminary Round
To clear this round, the candidate must score the minimum required percentile in CAT 2023/XAT 2024. All the candidates must also register and apply online for admission to IRMA to be eligible for the admission process.
Stage 2: WAT & PI Round
At stage 2, IRMA Admission Process consist of Written Ability Test (WAT) and Personal Interview (PI). IRMA PGDM RM WAT will be a paper-pen based test of 30 minutes. Candidates need to write around 200-300 words around the given topic and upload the scanned copy of the same using their login credentials (As provided by IRMA Anand). After WAT shortlisted candidates need to appear for Personal Inteview. PI will be conducted in both online and offline format, where candidate can choose a suitable mode of interaction. Instructions for the same will be provided to the selected candidates.

The PGDM-RM programme by IRMA is comprised of 6 classroom segments that follow a pedagogy which includes courses that revolve around case analysis, simulations, experiential exercises, project presentations, writing papers and guest lectures, apart from an extensive use of audio-visual aids during regular classes in this segment.
Major courses undertaken by the students during these terms are: Microeconomics, Macroeconomic Perspectives, Understanding Organizations, Production and Operations Management. Implementation-oriented courses from all functional areas of Management including Operations Management, Human Resource Management, Financial Management, and Marketing Management, equip students with distinct skills, allowing them to evolve from observers to analyzers.
The classroom segment in the first year comprises three terms, each having 12 credits. The courses in the first year cover the basics in Management and Rural context. All the courses in the first year are compulsory. Term I coversThe first year comprises 3 terms (term I, II, III). Each of these terms have 12 credits each. The first year focuses on the basics of Management and Rural context. Every course in the first year is compulsory for all candidates. Term I covers the foundation and contextual courses in Rural Management. Term II and Term III have courses that teach the different functional areas of Rural Management.
The second year is divided into 3 terms (terms IV, V, VI). These three terms consist of 10 credits each. Term V and VI have elective courses for students to choose from. The elective courses are further divided into two groups namely Rural Development Management and Rural Enterprise Management. These groups have application based subjects like Sales & Distribution Management, Applied Econometrics for Rural Management, Brand Management, Monitoring and Evaluation for Development Interventions, International Trade, ICT for Development, Promoting Rural Enterprises and Entrepreneurship, Dairy Development, B2B Sales, Introduction to Game Theory, Panorama of Digital Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Corporate Social Responsibility among others.

Note:- Boarding and personal expenses will be over and above the mentioned fee. Currently, the average monthly expenses of the mess are around Rs. 4,500/-. You are also required to pay Rs. 3,000/- towards Participants Activity Fund in the IRMA Participant Mess at the time of joining. Rs. 4500/- will be charged towards Convocation Fee and Convocation Dress charges separately during the last classroom term. There may be an upward revision on account of the actual cost going up.
