₹ 1,20,000It’s highly illogical to compare a well-recognized brand like ISB with a no-name institute like IBS. It seems you are a bit confused between the 2 schools because comparing them is a literal joke.
ISB is ranked 1st in India and 4th in Asia and 32nd in the World at Best B Schools. It’s a B School that competes with top B schools like IIM ABC and here you are comparing it with a C grade B school in the country.
Almost anyone can get into IBS owing to the low qualifying scores needed and high number of seats available. Whereas getting into ISB is difficult even with a GMAT score as high as 99 percentile. ISB has the best corporate relations team in India and they work hard to get the roles that you want in the corporate sector.
The two colleges may share the same alphabet in their acronyms but there are nowhere similar when it comes to the brand name and worth.
The reputation of ICFAI has declined over the years. Previously, it was known for its MBA program, but its reputation was tarnished by affiliation issues for its B.Tech course. Some B.Tech campuses in Hyderabad, Bangalore, Jaipur, etc. had to be shut down due to a student strike that lasted for nearly a semester, and the non-affiliated B.Tech program run in these campuses. This negative publicity also negatively impacted its MBA program.
It is unclear to what extent the college has recovered since then. It is recommended that you consider colleges with a better track record. With a 98 percentile score, you may also be able to score well in other exams. Additionally, the fees charged by ICFAI, along with the investment of two years in the degree, make it a significant investment. So, it is advised that you consider other options.
The overall IBS average CTC for the 2020-22 batch is INR 8.71 lakhs and the highest domestic salary package is INR 21 lakhs. While the highest international salary package is INR 53.45 lakhs.
The ratio of salary between the batch is like
My friend got placed decently while at IBS Hyderabad. Some major highlights of the placement scenario then were
When considering joining a B-School, it's important to look at various factors to determine if it's the right fit for you. Here's a breakdown of what you can expect from IBS Hyderabad:
IBS has a dedicated marketing team that works hard to get admissions for its 9 campuses. College curriculum, placement, approvals, and quality of faculties may not play a big role in getting admissions.
The IBSAT examination is not a rigorous test, and it is possible to qualify by just applying for it. The IBSAT application period starts in June and may never end, with the exception of the IBS Hyderabad campus, which closes in the first week of February.
The selection process at IBS Hyderabad is more about determining if you have the financial means to pay for the fees, rather than your qualifications. Fluency in English and a wealthy father may increase your chances of getting into the IBS Hyderabad campus.
Most of the students placed through campus placements will end up leaving their jobs within 6 months, and a large percentage of the jobs obtained through campus placements are not unique to MBA graduates.
Even if you score less than the 60 percentile on a test like CAT, it is still possible to get into IBS Hyderabad by writing the IBSAT exam. It is recommended to take exams such as CAT, CET, NMAT, CMAT, SNAP, or TISS if you are serious about pursuing an MBA. CAT is often referred to as the "mother of MBA entrance exams in India," and a score less than 60 percentile may indicate that an MBA may not be the best fit for you.
If you're considering an MBA program, Hyderabad, Mumbai, and Gurgaon are three of the most attractive options based on their placement prospects. Only the Hyderabad, Jaipur, and Dehradun campuses offer an MBA program, while other campuses offer PGPM. If you want a dual degree, you can pursue a PGPM from the campuses offering the program, combined with a distance learning MBA.
The cost of your education is another important factor to consider. The Mumbai and Gurgaon campuses will cost you approximately INR 9 lakhs for PGPM, while the Hyderabad campus charges approximately INR 16 lakhs for an MBA.
In terms of placement statistics, IBS Hyderabad had a 99% placement percentage in 2022 with an average package of INR 8.71 LPA. On the other hand, IBS Mumbai had an average package of INR 7.14 LPA with the highest international and domestic packages of INR 53.45 LPA and INR 15 LPA, respectively. IBS Gurgaon had an average salary of INR 6.81 LPA with the highest international salary of INR 22.18 LPA and the highest domestic salary of INR 11 LPA. The average salary for the top 10% and top 25% was INR 10.06 LPA and INR 8.76 LPA, respectively.
Before making your final decision, it is important to carefully weigh all of these factors. While Hyderabad offers excellent opportunities for development and growth, including a strong club culture, Mumbai and Gurgaon may be better options for you if you are closer to your hometown or primarily concerned about the return on investment.
Your hostel life actually depends on your batch and the friends you make. There are no particular rules and it’s you who has to set the routine of your college life. The lectures usually end around 4: 30 while some at 6. The lectures give you a break for lunch. Once the lectures end you can spend your time on any activity. Some spend their time hanging out while some prefer studying. It’s up to you how you utilize your free time.
If you are part of a club most of your time will be invested in meetings, events, parties, presentations, night outs, and many other activities. Your college life will keep you extremely busy that you will even have hardly any time to complete your sleep. But these are your best days so create as many memories as you can.
Hi, I went to college at CBIT, which is located along the route to your campus. There are no direct buses from Secunderabad to your campus. I can give you the bus numbers and routes you need to take.
You first need to get to Mehidipatnam, which you can do by taking any bus number 5. The buses are located near the front exit of the railway station. When you reach Mehidipatnam on bus number 5, you can find the State Bank ATM by asking around as most people are helpful. Opposite the ATM, there is a bus stop where the Shankarpally buses stop. Take that bus and it will take you directly to your campus.
Please be cautious of two things: it may be difficult to find a ride through Uber or Ola to your campus. Additionally, from 8:30 am to 10:30 am, the buses tend to be overcrowded with students, making it challenging to board.
At IBS Hyderabad, you will experience a unique and transformative journey in your MBA education. This college is not bound by traditional discipline-based curriculum but instead provides you with the opportunity to develop your skills and become a better working professional. The journey can be divided into three phases: Realization, Launchpad, and Accomplishment.
During the first few months, you will have realizations about the challenges of college life, such as average quality food and poor facilities. However, you have the option to either complain about these issues or try to adjust and make the best of the situation. Choosing the latter will allow you to turn IBS Hyderabad into your second home, where you will build relationships with classmates and make your studies enjoyable.
In the third semester, after completing a summer internship, you will experience a completely different environment. The college challenges you to improve and perform better in all areas of your life. With competitive placements and classmates, you will push yourself to reach your full potential.
Finally, in the Accomplishment phase, you will achieve remarkable things and develop friendships that will last a lifetime. You will also be challenged to try new things, such as a stand-up act, which will help you grow as a person.
In conclusion, anyone can join IBS Hyderabad regardless of their background or scores. However, to fully take advantage of the opportunities available, it is important to be willing to work hard and change yourself. The college will give you what you contribute to it, so it is up to you to decide if IBS Hyderabad is worth your investment.

Overall ISB Hyderabad will offer an enriched learning experience. The only major flaw is a major size, and if you manage to stand out, that is not an issue.
