Central Food Technological Research Institute, also referred to as CFTRI, is a private institution established in 1950 in Mysore. CFTRI Mysore Admission

Admissions to the M.Sc course and the Integrated M.Sc + Ph.D. course are conducted based on merit achieved in the CFTRI Entrance Exam Score, in addition to an Interview. Admissions to the Ph.D. courses and the Flour Milling Technology are based on merit achieved in the qualifying examination, along with an Interview. For the latter, an Aptitude Test is also conducted. Applications are accepted online for the Ph.D. and the Integrated M.Sc + Ph.D. programs. To apply for the other two courses, candidates must submit the application form offline. 

How to Apply Online?

Candidates applying to the Ph.D. under AcSIR or the integrated M.Sc + Ph.D. course can follow the steps below: 

  • Visit the AcSIR official website. 
  • Click on the “Admission” tab and then on the “online admission portal”. 
  • Register yourself. 
  • Log in and fill in the application form. 
  • Upload required scanned documents. 
  • Click on submit. 

How to Apply Offline?

To apply for the Flour Milling Technology course, or the M.Sc course, candidates can follow these steps: 

  • Request for the prospectus and application form by mail, or you can obtain it from the online website. 
  • Pay the application fee of INR 500 through NEFT. 
  • Once the NEFT is completed, send a mail to the institute with the following details:

Ques. Are there any reservations or relaxations of marks according to a category?

Ans. There is a relaxation of 5% in the aggregate marks for candidates belonging to SC and ST category. For the Integrated M.Sc + Ph.D. course, the minimum aggregate percentage should be 65% in B.Sc or 60% for SC/ST.
