Smt Kamladevi Gauridutt Mittal College of Arts and Commerce was taken over by the men of steel and vision, the trustees of Marwari Vidyalaya in 1984. They transformed an old college (B.S.S.S) into a college to reckon with and renamed it in 1992. The college today can accommodate around 3500 students and has carved a niche for itself in the suburbs. In 1980 the college was shifted to the premises of NL High School for one year. The faculty is experienced and well educated and abide by the pledge to groom the students into culturally and socially mannered human beings. The commerce faculty is also recognized by the Maharashtra state Government for the conduct of Junior college classes. Smt Kamladevi Gauridutt Mittal College has been accorded the minority status by the statutory authorities and has been granted permanent affiliation with effect from 1999- 2000. The college offers professional bachelor courses to equip the students with finest skills and knowledge to face the new challenges. A variety of teaching and learning techniques are employed to impart knowledge and skills to the students of the College. The objective of the college is to endeavor to tread the path of not just achievement but quality education under University of Mumbai.
