Dr. Akhilesh Das Gupta Institute of Technology and Management formerly known as Northern India Engineering College was established by BBDES, Lucknow in the year 2003. The institute is affiliated with Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, Delhi.

ADGITM offers B.Tech in 8 specializations, a BBA and an MBA course approved by AICTE in affiliation with GGSIPU, Delhi.

For admission to UG and PG programs, the candidates must have qualified Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test (GGSIPU CET) examinations.
To be eligible for admission to B.Tech. program, the candidate must qualify the 10+2 with a minimum aggregate of 55% marks to be eligible for B/Tech.
The application mode of NIEC is online.
Eligibility criteria for PG Courses are any recognized Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
Admission will be made according to the rank secured by the candidates in the entrance exam.

ADGITM undergraduate Admission

At the undergraduate level, the college offers a full-time degree course in B.Tech. and BBA.

B.Tech. is offered under eight different specializations for a duration of 4 years. BBA is offered for a period of 3 years.

Under the discipline of B.Tech. the institute also offers Lateral Entry for Diploma Holders.

Selection Criteria

Admission to all the above-mentioned courses will be done on the basis of the CET. Applicants must appear in the same.
The admissions would be based on the merit/rank in the CET followed by a round of online counseling.
Candidates with Diploma in Architecture are not eligible for Lateral Entry.

Exam Pattern

B.Tech.

IPU CET for B.Tech tests candidate’s aptitude based on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
150 objective questions are asked and sectional weightage of 33.33% is given to each section.

BBA

The paper is divided into four sections.
Questions are asked from English, General Awareness, Logical Reasoning and Management Aptitude.
IPU CET for BBA comprises of 150 objective type questions.
Duration: 2 hours 30 minutes.

Counseling

After the declaration of results, candidates are shortlisted for IPU CET Counselling.
A merit list is prepared on the basis of scores obtained by candidates in the IPU CET Exam.

ADGITM Postgraduate Admission

At the postgraduate level, the college offers an MBA program.

The eligibility criteria for MBA is a recognized Bachelor's Degree in any discipline with a minimum of 50% marks.

Selection Process

All admissions shall be made on the basis of the merit of the Common Admission Test (CAT) that was conducted by the Indian Institute of Management‟s on a rotational basis.
The University shall not conduct its own CET for admissions, but shall be utilizing the merit of prepared on the basis of normalized CAT score for its admissions.

How to Apply ADGITM ?

Candidates seeking admission to any of the courses need to apply for IPU CET from its official website. The application forms are available online.

Click on “Apply online”.
After registration, preview and ensure that the details are correct.
Submit the application form.
The application fee of INR. 1000/- can be paid via Debit Card/Credit Card/Net Banking.
The applicant must select a nearby examination center while filling the form.
There is no requirement to send a hard copy of the application form.

FAQs

Ques. Does mere appearance in the entrance test ensure selection/counseling?

Ans. No, merely appearing for IPU CET does not ensure that a candidate gets to appear for the counseling session for admission into GGS IPU programs. Candidates need to score at least the specific Cut off score in order to be eligible to be shortlisted for the counseling process. The cut off list is released separately for all the academic programs offered by the university.

Ques. Which documents does one need to carry for document verification?

Ans. The following documents must be submitted at the time of verification:

10th Class passing certificate
10th Class Mark sheet
12th Class passing certificate
12th Class Mark sheet
Academic fee receipt
Caste certificate (if applicable)
Bachelor’s degree Mark Sheet (if applicable)

Ques. How can one pay the counseling fees?

Ans. IPU CET Counseling fees can be paid both online and offline. Online payment can be made from the applicant login on the official website, via Payment Gateway, using Net Banking/Debit or Credit Cards.

In case of offline payment, a cash challan can be downloaded from the applicant login on the official website, details filled in and cash deposited at the bank/branch specified on the challan.

Ques. Is there any fee for Counseling?

Ans. Candidates shortlisted for counseling need to pay a non-refundable counseling fee of INR. 1000/- in either online or offline mode.

True Facts

Remarks:

Eligibility is a 12th with 60% and above or 3 years Diploma with 60% or above. Application Form is available on the official website of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University's website. I have not availed of any reservation. It should be a little less time-consuming.

Remarks:

The application form is available on ggispu website and application fee is 1,500 and the counseling fee is 1,000 application dates are released generally two weeks after the Jee mains result in you can get Delhi home state quota up to outside Delhi quota of 15% and an additional 10% seats for management on merit basis of class 12th you need to appear in jee mains for admission is ggsipu you also scheduled caste SC AND scheduled tribe ST benefits too in counseling process in seat allotment.

Truths about adgitm

Remarks:

Yes, I had given JEE Mains to get admission to this college. The admission process is so smooth and I got rank 163182 and this year cutoff has also increased so I easily got the BTech in CSE and now I start my college life.

Know about good colleges

Remarks:

The admission process is good but it takes more amount of time in admissions process. The eligibility of the courses is that all the science Student have to give JEE mains paper after this apply for the ip university counselling form in this counselling there 3 rounds if your cutoff is in the counselling you alloted a college. And there is reservation for SC /ST and home state for delhi student.

Which is better ECE at NIEC IPU or EEE at MAIT IPU? In terms of placement.

It is a bitter truth about the IPU that no college offers placements to the students. You will need to depend on yourself for building different skills through short-term courses, internships, or working on different projects.

But in general, MAIT is a reputed college where you can pursue EEE and there is no attendance issue in the college. It also has a good reputation among the IPU colleges. The average CTC offered at the institute is around 3 LPA.

I have few friends at MAIT and based on the reviews I got from them I will suggest you go for their EEE course. But don’t entirely demand the institute for opportunities.

Which is better IT at NIEC or EEE at MAIT?

MAIT is one of the top ten colleges in Delhi and is amongst the top 100 colleges in India for pursuing a BTech degree. Although NIEC holds no such ranking, the management and infrastructure of the college are at the same level as MAIT.

Admission Criteria:

There are three rounds for admission. For taking admission in these colleges, students must sit for the JEE Main examination and the prerequisite for admission is a minimum of 55% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics in 10+2.

NIEC- The IT department at NIEC has a total of 180 seats out of which 85% are reserved for Delhi candidates.

The college has a general cut-off of 14, 9262 for students residing in Delhi and 87727 for out-of-state students.
The cut-off for SC/ST/OBC is 585015.

MAIT- The EEE department at MAIT also has 180 seats out of which 85% are reserved for Delhi candidates.

The college has a general cut-off of 154753 for students residing in Delhi and 63215 for out-of-state students.
The cut-off for SC/ST/OBC for students in Delhi is 615460 and outside Delhi is 461051.

Placement Details:

NIEC-

The placement of the IT department at NIEC is better than the other core departments of the college.

The average salary offered is 2 LPA, while the highest is 6.5 LPA.
In 2020 more than 60% of the students got placed in companies like Infosys, Wipro, Samsung, Amazon.
Students of this department have to look for off-campus internships on their own as the college plays no role in providing internships.

MAIT- The placement of the EEE department at MAIT is average.

The average salary is 3.5 LPA and the highest salary is 12 LPA.
Very few companies come to recruit students from the EEE department, and mostly the IT and CSE departments are favored. Companies like Accenture, Infosys visit the campus placements.
Internships are not provided by the college, but students can contact its placement cell for guidance.
More than 47% of the students got placed in 2020 from EEE.

Both the colleges have excellent infrastructure with well-maintained classrooms, libraries, and updated laboratories. MAIT has additional housing and gym facilities which are not provided by NIEC. The course curriculums of IT and EEE departments at NIEC and MAIT are not updated, and there is less industry exposure. The tuition fee for IT at NIEC and EEE at MAIT for four years is 3.87 and 4.69 respectively.

Which is better for CSE SRM University Sonepat or BPIT or Northern India Engg College?

SRM Sonepat has been ranked in the top 15 leading private institutions in India. BPIT has been ranked at 132 in India by Edu Rank while NIEC Delhi is ranked at 227 for Engineering by Rank World in 2020.

Admissions:

The admission details for BTech CSE at the institutes are as follows.

Faculty:

While the faculty members at all the given universities are academic professionals in their fields of teaching, SRM Sonepat is specifically known for the high grade of faculty members who design an efficient curriculum to make students industry-ready.

For BPIT and NIEC, the teachers are very helpful and help students with queries and doubts. They are experienced professionals but specific to the CSE programs, SRM Sonepat has better and more experienced faculty members.

Placements:

SRM Sonepat observes a placement record of 85% in CSE. The highest CTC is 12.5 LPA while the median CTC is 3.8 LPA. The top recruiters are Cognizant and Airtel.
BPIT has a placement rate of 80% with the highest CTC of 12.4 LPA and a median CTC of 2.1 LPA. The top recruiters are Accenture.
NIEC has a placement record of 70%. The highest CTC is 10 LPA and the median CTC is 1.5 LPA. The top recruiters are Genpact and HCL.

Students can choose their preferred institution based on the factors given above.
