Model Institute of Engineering and Technology offers the B.E. course at the undergraduate level and M.Tech at the postgraduate level. Applications to the B.E. course are accepted from candidates who have completed their 10 + 2 studies under the science stream and have secured a minimum of 50% marks (40% for reserved category) in the board examination. Further, applications are only accepted from domicile residents of the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Diploma holders can apply for admission into the second year of B.E. through lateral entry.

For M.Tech, B.E / B.Tech (in relevant branch of engineering and technology) from an approved institution/University. The minimum marks required for admission is at least 50% marks (45% for SC/ST)/equivalent CGPA or as specified by the competent regulatory body from time to time.

B.E. course seats will be allotted on the basis of scores obtained in the JEE Main / JK CET entrance examination, which will be conducted by the JK BOPEE. Counseling process for the allotment of the B.E. seats will be conducted by the JK BOPEE board whereas for M.Tech, the candidates will be selected on the basis of GATE scores.

Model Institute of Engineering and Technology offers the MCA course at the postgraduate level. The MCA course will be taught over a span of 3 years.

Applications to the MCA course are accepted from candidates who have completed their undergraduate studies, spanning a minimum of 3 years, from a relevant field and have secured minimum 50% marks in the qualifying examination. (40% for reserved categories). The applicant must also be a domicile resident of Jammu and Kashmir.

Admissions to the MCA course will be done on the basis of performance in the JUET (Jammu University Entrance Test), conducted by Jammu University. Counseling for the allotment of the MCA seats will also be conducted by Jammu University.

Model Institute of Engineering and Technology offers the MBA course at the postgraduate level. The MBA course will be taught over a span of 2 years.

Applications to the MBA course are accepted from candidates who have completed their undergraduate studies, from any discipline, having secured minimum 50% marks in the qualifying degree examination. (40% for reserved categories). The applicants should also be a domicile resident of Jammu and Kashmir to be considered as eligible to apply.

MBA applicants will be shortlisted on the basis of their performance in the CAT / CMAT / MAT entrance examinations. Shortlisted candidates will be granted admission into the MBA course upon satisfactory completion of the group discussion and personal interview rounds, which will be conducted by Jammu University.
