FISAT Kochi has been ranked at 96th for Engineering among Indian Engineering colleges, SCMS Cochin has been ranked 85th, Rajagiri ranked 83rd and Mar Baselios (MBCET) is ranked in the bracket of 100-125 among Indian Engineering colleges. All the above colleges are NAAC ‘A’ grade accredited colleges.

Admission Process:

• Admission to the FISAT BTech program is based on the scores obtained inKEAM/JEE Main, followed by counselling, and admission to the program through management quota is based on the rank in the merit list.
• At SCMS Cochin, admission is through counselling based on rank obtained in Kerala Engineering, Architecture, Medical (KEAM), and the same is for the Management quota.
• For Rajagiri, admission is through counselling based on the rank obtained in KEAM. Remaining seats will be filled by the Institute based on the marks obtained in 10+2.
• At MBCET, admission is through counselling based on the rank obtained in KEAM. Remaining 50% Management quota seats will be filled on the basis of entrance test and 10+2 marks (50:50)

• Accenture, HCL, HP, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, TCS, Wipro, Vodafone, are some of the top recruiters at FISAT Kochi. The college recorded 70% placement last year for the Mechanical batch.
• Some of the top recruiters of SCMS Cochin are- IBS Software, Infosys, HCL, Infoview, MRF, MU Sigma, Mytrah Energy, UST Global, Wipro, Tech Mahindra are the top recruiters. Around 80% students got placed last year at SCMS Cochin.
• Amazon, Bosch Ltd, Cognizant, Digital Core Technology, Experis IT, GES Infotech, IBM, IBS Software, Indian Navy, Infosys, ITC Infotech, Mahindra and Mahindra are the top recruiters at Rajagiri. The college provided placement to around 90% of the CSE branch last year.
• Accenture, Genpact, Microsoft, Infosys, MU Sigma, Wipro, IBS Software, UST Global are some of the major visiting companies at MBCET. The college recorded 60% placements for its last batch.

• They have a much advanced, updated curriculum and it is possible because they don’t come under any university and hence have the liberty to mold according to the latest industry standards.

• It is not easier to get placed from Amrita because you study in Amrita does not mean you will get high placements because the crowd in Amrita is more competitive. 
• All those who missed out on JEE come to Amrita. Top companies like Microsoft, Facebook, CISCO recruit only from Amrita out of those mentioned.

Campus Life: (Winning Institution - Amrita University)

• The clubs in Amrita are almost international, as it conducts the prestigious ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest). Which itself is a benchmark to look for, acknowledging non-premier institutes like IITs, NITs, and BITs. 
• The clubs in Amrita are more diverse and active. It's tech-fest ANOKHA is also much better. 

If you don’t have a blend with a very diverse crowd go for Amrita. Going by all the factors mentioned above, it is safe to say that Amrita University is a better alternative.
