Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology (MBCET) is an engineering institute located at Nalanchira, Kerala. Established in the year 2002, the institute is affiliated to the University of Kerala and the Kerala Technological University.

The college offers UG and PG degrees in various fields of engineering. There is a total of 600 seats available for B.Tech and 138 seats available for M.Tech in the college. Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology B.Tech Admission 2023

The admission to B.Tech courses is done through the KEAM entrance examination. Candidates have to first qualify the examination to apply for admission into the course. Admissions are done on basis of the scores obtained in the entrance examination. The list of selected candidates will be created by the CEE (Commissioner of Entrance Exam, Kerala). Candidates are required to have passed the Higher Secondary Examination with minimum 50% marks to apply for admission.

The admission of 50% seats in B.Tech is entrance based and the other 50% is direct, based on Management Quota. For either method, candidates will have to first qualify the entrance examination to apply. For merit-based direct admission, the candidate’s entrance examination score and the marks obtained in the qualifying school examination is added to create the merit list of selected candidates.

The application process is done online. The candidates will have to pay an application fee as required by the college. The application forms will be available from May 03, (tentative). The reservation rules will be followed as set by the Government.

Passed the Higher Secondary Examination of the Board of Higher Secondary Education of Kerala or a recognized equivalent examination with at least 45% marks in Mathematics and 50% marks in Maths, Physics and Chemistry.
Candidates should qualify the KEAM entrance examination for engineering, conducted by the Commissioner of Entrance Exams (CEE).

Candidates must have a valid GATE score to apply for admission into MTech. So, candidates need to qualify the GATE examination to apply. Admissions are also done directly based on merit. Candidates should have a B.Tech degree in the relevant field with minimum 60% marks as basic eligibility criteria.

50% of the available seats will be filled based on the list created by DTE based on the rank obtained in the GATE exam. The remaining 50% is filled directly based on merit through Management Quota.

The application process will be done online. The candidates will have to pay the application fee as required by the college. The application forms should be available from June 01 (tentative).

Mar Baselios College of Engineering and Technology Application Process

The application process for both B.Tech and M.Tech courses are done through online application found on the college website.

To apply candidates can follow the steps below:

Candidates must first fill in the application form found on the college website.
Application forms can be found on the respective admission pages for B.Tech and M.Tech.
After filling in the application form candidates have to submit the application form and also pay the application fee as required by the college.
The application fee can be paid through online methods or using a Demand Draft.
The college will then create the list of selected candidates which will be posted on the college website.
Selected candidates will then be given a date to visit the college to submit all the required documents and certificates. Failing to do so will result in the candidate’s name being removed from the list.
All other required admission formalities will be completed in the college itself.

FISAT Kochi has been ranked at 96th for Engineering among Indian Engineering colleges, SCMS Cochin has been ranked 85th, Rajagiri ranked 83rd and Mar Baselios (MBCET) is ranked in the bracket of 100-125 among Indian Engineering colleges. All the above colleges are NAAC ‘A’ grade accredited colleges.

Admission Process:

Admission to the FISAT BTech program is based on the scores obtained inKEAM/JEE Main, followed by counselling, and admission to the program through management quota is based on the rank in the merit list.
At SCMS Cochin, admission is through counselling based on rank obtained in Kerala Engineering, Architecture, Medical (KEAM), and the same is for the Management quota.
For Rajagiri, admission is through counselling based on the rank obtained in KEAM. Remaining seats will be filled by the Institute based on the marks obtained in 10+2.
At MBCET, admission is through counselling based on the rank obtained in KEAM. Remaining 50% Management quota seats will be filled on the basis of entrance test and 10+2 marks (50:50)
