Important Updates for KMIT

Keshav Memorial Institute of Technology accepts TS EAMCET for admission to BTech/ BE courses. TS EAMCET counselling schedule has been released by TSCHE. Candidates having a valid TS EAMCET 2023 score can register for counselling from June 26, 2023 to July 05. The round one seat allotment for TS EAMCET will be released on July 12, 2023. The round 2 counselling registration can be done on July 21 and July 22. TS EAMCET Round 2 seat allotment will be released on July 28.

Keshav Memorial Institute of Technology (KMIT), Hyderabad is a private institution affiliated to Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, Hyderabad (JNTUH). Currently, only B.Tech in 4 different specializations is offered at Keshav Memorial Institute of Technology.

Admissions are based on the state-level entrance exam conducted by the Telangana Government called TS EAMCET. For students to be eligible for B.Tech admissions they must have passed 10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as optional subjects.

The reservation of seats is divided as 70% for TS EAMCET admissions, while 30% of the seats are reserved for the management quota candidates. Applications for admissions are available online. B.Tech Eligibility

Admissions to the B.Tech Program are made along with the other Engineering colleges in the state through a common entrance test (EAMCET) conducted by the Govt. of Telangana State.

The minimum qualification for admission to first year of the B. Tech course is a pass in the Intermediate (10 + 2) conducted by the board of Intermediate education, Govt. of Telangana State or any other examination recognized as equivalent thereto with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as optional subjects.

70% of the seats are allotted based on the merit in the EAMCET.
30% of the seats are earmarked for Management/NRI candidates.
In addition to the above, Diploma holders are admitted in second year of B. Tech to the extent of 20% of intake based on the merit in the ECET, under lateral entry scheme.

B.Tech Admission Process

The admission process includes the application and registration for EAMCET. Read on to understand the steps for application submission.

EAMCET Requirements

Students willing to appear for the Engineering exam have to pay a fee of INR 500, while SC/ST have to pay only INR 250. The following is a gist of the application and how to go about it:

TSCHE releases the application form at www.eamcet.tsche.ac.in.
There are 3 main steps involved in completing the TS EAMCET Application Form.
The students must ensure that they fill the application and keep a print out of the payment receipt.
Students are required to fill in their personal details and upload their recent photograph along with the signature.

The 70% of the seats are reserved for those who qualify EAMCET, while only 30% are reserved for the management quota.

Remarks:

I took admission in KMIT through an entrance exam called TS-EAMCET. This exam is conducted once in a year during the summer vacation and application forms are released a month or two. You can easily find all the details of the exam over the web. Exam fees are around 1k-1.5k. If you belong to the general category then you need to secure a rank below 10k to get admission to this college. Fee reimbursement can be availed completely if your rank is below 10k by providing an income certificate while the admission process. Remarks:

Entrance to this college can be done by attending the Eamcet exam or it can be managed. For reservation candidates, the cut-off is pretty good but the students without reservations should have a very small cut-off.
