Karpagam College of Engineering BTech admission 2024 is done through the TNEA exam. The TNEA tentative exam 2024 dates have been announced. The start date of the online TNEA registration is May 4, 2024. The last date of registration for the same is June 4, 2024. Candidates can apply for TNEA through its official website.

Karpagam College of Engineering, located in Coimbatore in the state of Tamil Nadu, was established in 2000. Affiliated to Anna University, Tamil Nadu, the institute provides BE/ B.Tech degree at undergraduate level and ME, MCA and MBA courses at post graduate level. Karpagam College of Engineering also offers Ph.D degree in five disciplines.

All the disciplines offered under UG course are of 4 years duration and all the PG courses are of 2 years duration.
Candidates who have passed 10+2 with 50% marks (general category) in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics from Tamil Nadu are eligible for TNEA.
For admission to BE/ B.Tech courses, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) is conducted by Anna University.
TNEA rank or merit list will be prepared on the basis of percentage obtained at 10+2 level by the respective candidates.

For admissions to PG courses, candidates should possess bachelor’s degree from a recognized institution.
For admissions to MBA, MCA and ME, the state level offline entrance exam i.e. TANCET is conducted.

KCE Coimbatore BE, B.Tech Admission 2023

For admissions to BE/ B.Tech course, Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA) is conducted by Anna University. Candidates should have passed HSC with 50% marks (45% for OBC and 40% for SC/ST) in PCM subjects in order to be eligible to apply.

The admission to various engineering colleges will be done through the TNEA Rank List, prepared according marks obtained by the candidates in the HSC. The counseling for the same will be organized by Anna University.

Application forms for TNEA can be filled both offline and online. Offline forms can be obtained from TNEA designated centers.

Only those candidates who have done HSC from Tamil Nadu or are natives of the state are eligible to apply in TNEA.
5% relaxation in qualifying exam is given to OBC candidates and 10% relaxation is given to SC/ST candidates.

KCE Coimbatore ME, MBA and MCA Admission 2023

Admission to ME, MBA and MCA course at the institute is offered on the basis of the performance of the candidates in TANCET entrance examination conducted by Anna University. Candidates who have passed bachelor’s degree examination with 50% marks in concerned subject or equivalent are eligible to apply.

For ME, candidates should either have a valid GATE score card or valid TANCET score card. In case of MBA, candidates should have a valid score card of any of CAT/MAT/XAT or TANCET.

TANCET exam is conducted offline. The counseling is usually conducted in the month of June/July. Candidates are required to report at the counseling centers along with all the relevant documents.

Relaxation of 5% marks is given to SC/ST category candidates.
Admission to PG degree courses is carried out through central counseling (TANCA).

KCE Coimbatore Ph.D Admission 2023

Candidate applying for Ph.D program should have completed ME/ M.Tech in concerned subject with at least 55% marks or 5.5 CGPA and BE/B.Tech with minimum 50% aggregate. Selection of candidates will be done on the basis of their marks in entrance exam and interview.

Candidates qualified in NET/SLET or any other National Level Eligibility Test and have been awarded INSPIRE Fellowship of DST, Rajiv Gandhi and Maulana Azad Fellowships of UGC or similar fellowships by statutory bodies of Govt. of India are exempted from written test. For candidates belonging to SC/ST category, there is a relaxation of 5% or 0.5 CGPA.

For B.Tech Courses:

Candidates seeking admission to undergraduate engineering degree courses have to apply for TNEA. The application form can be filled online through official website.

For Online Mode: Candidates must submit INR 500 (general candidates) and INR 250 (reserved candidates) in online registration mode

For Offline Mode: Candidates must submit an application fee of INR 700 (general category) and INR 450 (scheduled caste/scheduled tribe/OBCs)

Photocopies of the following documents should be enclosed along with the application

HSC / Equivalent Mark Sheet.
Transfer Certificate from last institute studied.

Remarks:

I applied through Tamilnadu Counselling for Computer science and engineering in the browsing centre. For counseling applications, they charged 5000. I also got a seat for CSE and then went to college for admission. I gave my original certificates and paid 5000 for admission.
