Likes

Good, trained staff and HOD also students. Three to four exams will be conducted.
Many automation internships are conducted by different companies, based on PLC, LabVIEW, and MATLAB.
With regards to my internship, the head of my department, Prof. M. KUMARAN, used to suggest the best organization to work in order to gain knowledge.

Dislikes

Learning the stuff they taught you in books is inadequate for getting placed in companies.
The gifts were toothpicks and pen stands, as if we were so poor that we couldnt afford toothpicks and lacked oral hygiene, so they thought.
The campus was horrible in that way, and no support was given by the department, even in job searching or assisting students to find a job.

What I Liked

No, the aspect of the college no needed to improvement
I'm engagement with campus life and the Quality of social Interaction
faculty's expertise, teaching methods is quality.

What I didn’t like

effectiveness of the placement services and the support provided for career advancement

All about JEC

What I Liked

The college's teaching methods often includes practical sessions, project works, and industry interactions that provide a well rounded educational experience.Additionally, the faculty's commitment to mentoring helps students achieve all their goals.
One of the JEC's significant strength is its robust placement services. The high placement rate and presence of reputed companies in the recruitment process are indicative of the college's effective placement strategies. Jec organizes job fairs, etc.
The college frequently organizes workshops, seminars, and guest lectures by industry experts, which provides students with insights into current industry trends and practices. Additionally there are opportunities for internships and industrial visits

What I didn’t like

Although Jec has a strong placement record, there are occasional concerns regarding the effectiveness of placement services for all students. Some students feel that the support provided ih not uniformly distrubuted.
Some students have reported issues with the maintenance of certain facilities. Such as many not working computers and some laboratory issues were arised.
Some students feel that the college's emphasis on academics can sometimes overshadow Opportunities for social engagement .

Course Curriculum Overview:

JEC's course curriculum is designed to provide a comprehensive education in engineering disciplines. It includes foundational courses in mathematics, science and engineering principles, alongside specialized subjects related to each branch of study.

Remarks:

I chose jaya engineering college over St. Peter's college due to it's strong industry connections, on practical experience align with my career goals. The faculty's expertise and supportive environment also played a significant role in my decision, promising a well rounded engineering education.

Which is the better option, ET in IET DAVV or CSE in JEC?

A few of my friends graduated from both IET DAVV and JEC. They say that the choice mostly varies according to your interests and the plans you have for your future.

If you are planning for GATE then ET will not be a good choice. But if you are thinking of campus placements then IET has better records of placements than JEC.
There is no more chance of growth in ET compared to CS. You will get better placements with CSE but for exposure and environment, IET is the better one.
You will find good seniors and quite a supportive faculty.
Talking of the colleges’ locations, Indore is better than Jabalpur not only fits your plans but also an important parameter while choosing a college.

Finally, IET is a better college compared to JEC but the ET course at IET is mediocre while the CS branch has a great scope. However, the final decision is up to you. Choose wisely.
