Dislikes
- Although Jec has a strong placement record, there are occasional concerns regarding the effectiveness of placement services for all students. Some students feel that the support provided ih not uniformly distrubuted.
- Some students have reported issues with the maintenance of certain facilities. Such as many not working computers and some laboratory issues were arised.
- Some students feel that the college's emphasis on academics can sometimes overshadow Opportunities for social engagement .
Remarks :
I chose jaya engineering college over St. Peter's college due to it's strong industry connections, on practical experience align with my career goals. The faculty's expertise and supportive environment also played a significant role in my decision, promising a well rounded engineering education.
Course Curriculum Overview :
JEC's course curriculum is designed to provide a comprehensive education in engineering disciplines. It includes foundational courses in mathematics, science and engineering principles, alongside specialized subjects related to each branch of study.
Internships Opportunities :
Students engege in real world projects during these internships, such as developing software applications, working on mechanical design improvements, or contributing to civil infrastructure projects. These projects help students apply classroom knowledge to practical challenges and develop problem solving skills. Notable companies offering internships include infosys, TCS, wipro, Bosch and L&T. Outcomes of these internships include enhanced technical skills, professional networking and improves job readliness.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions :
The year wise fees i paid was 65,000 rupees as i joined this college by counselling ( government quota). If i have joined in management quota i must pay 75,000 rupees. For scholarship students, 20,000 rupees is the total amount for one year. Only for 1st year we must pay 5,500 for book fees and we should also pay ?200 as a breakage fees.Development fees is used for the development of infrastructure and facilities within college. It often ranges from 10,000 to 15,000 every year. Admission fees is a one time fees collected at the time of admission. It usually amounts to approximately 10,000 rupees to 15,000 rupees. This fee covers the cost of processing admission documents and other administrative evpenses. Scholarships may be based on merit, need or specific criteria set by the college or external organizations. Students are also encouraged to apply for scholarships from government bodies, private organizations, industry sponsors, which can further help in managing educational expenses.
Campus Life :
Techfest : a technology focused event showcasing student innovations and tech exhibitions. Happened on October. Cultural fest : celebrates various cultural activities, including dance, music, and drama. Happened on March. Sports day : highlights atheletic competitions and promotes physical fitness. Happened on February. There are many student run social clubs on Jaya engineering college, some are 1.literary club 2.entrepreneurship cell 3.rotaract club 4.IEEE student chapter
Faculty :
Faculty members are generally approachable and provide guidance beyond classroom instructions. In jec IAT's are conducted periodically to evaluate student's understanding of the course works.In my class more that 10 students failed to clear the arrear exam. My favourite teacher is Mrs. Chandra , who inspires with her passion and patience. Her positive influence and dedication are deeply appreciated. My least favourite teacher struggles to engage students and often relise on outdates methods.

From 7th semester students get eligibility to enter into placements.. Capegemini, l&T, infosys, TCS, BOSCH, cognizant etc.. As of now by the latest placements mechanical got a highest package of 12lpa and has 100% placement in school of mechanical and construction

It is too backwards. It totally is old style not upgrading to the world it STILL uses the anna University pattern though it is a University. the curriculum puts u pressure and non stop work and it is bad but can be adjusted . Main issue is no free time to explore
