The admission for 4-year B.Tech courses starts around the month of June every year. The admission is based on the marks obtained in their higher secondary examination along with scores in JEE Mains or HPCET exam.

A student must get a minimum aggregate of 45% or above in his HSC examination from Himachal Pradesh Board or any such equivalent examination to be eligible for admission to this course.

Key Points:

• 50% of the total seats for each course are allocated based on JEE Main scores while the remaining 50% are based on marks obtained in the Himachal Pradesh Common Entrance Test .
• Based on the rank list, counselling is done for admission into each course
• HPCET is only for students from Himachal Pradesh.
• Students can write both JEE Main and HPCET exams but only one is taken for admission
• Other state candidates and Non-Residing Indian students can also apply for admission here

The college also accepts admission for lateral entry directly into 2nd year of engineering. Students who have done their Diploma or B.Sc. in engineering can apply for admission through lateral entry scheme.
