As I couldn't make it to NIT/IITs (to my preferable branch), I opted to stay in my state. I gave HPCET along with JEE. After doing some sort of research I came to college that this college is better than any other state/regional college in case of faculty and their experience and also this was the first college built in comparison to other state colleges.
The curriculum and frequency/timing of exams are good. There's not much to complain about. But there should be more practical knowledge. Teaching methods are good except 1 or 2 of them who just read out through ppt.
They offer numerous internships opportunities via WhatsApp groups created for each batch. I cannot say much about internships because I have not undertaken any so far. But yes, they offer internships opportunities in many fields like industry internships, summer internships, research internships etc.
Placements are also not that eye catching and the placement cell of this college is also not that active and effective. The highest package I've heard is 12lpa from the textile branch. If we talk about CSE, 1st batch is in 3rd year yeard itself so we will talk about their placements later on.
The year-wise fees of this college are about 57000 rupees. 28170 rupees are charged as the odd semester fee and approximately 29000 rupees for the even semesters if you are a non-hosteller. If you are opting for a hostel then your per semester fee will rise from 28000 to 31000, which is an increment of 2000 rupees in your fee. If you are a Girl or come from the PH or T.F.W category, the fees will be deducted to 13170 for a non-hosteller and 16320 for a hosteller. 3000 + 1500 rupees are charged during the counseling session as registration fees. If we talk about scholarships, several scholarships are provided by the college, some of them are as follows:- 1. Hathkargha Scholarship. 2. AICTE Scholarship Scheme. To learn more about scholarships you can check the official website of JNGEC Sundernagar.
Campus Life is good. Environment is good, beautiful and peaceful. The range and accessibility of books from library is also good. however the social live leaves much to be desired, with a lack of extra-curricular activities and uncertainity of organization the college fest. Being in my 2nd year, I have yet to witness a fest since my admission.
The relationship between students and teachers is good. See, it varies from teacher to teacher. Most of the faculty is good in case of teaching and behavior. In 1st year you'll be provided notes for every subject by their teacher respectively. From 2nd year ownwards, you must be your own saviour. But there will always be a teacher that would not be suitable for you and for your prefernces, the teacher you will not appreciate that much. But that ratio will 1:8. If we talk about exams, there will be 2 sessioal exams before any end sem exam. Exams are not that tough if you have studied atleast 1 hour a day, that too is enough. But for a 9 or 10 pointer CGPA you must study pretty hard.
In campus placements are pretty good and many companies visit the campus for placements Students get packages according to their skills and merits Highest package of ece branch was around 22lakhs per annum and average is nearly 5-6 lakhs per annum Most of the students get placements and many opt for higher studies My plan is to do mba after btech degree
Placement are good for cse and ece as cse average was 16 lpa and ece was 10 lpa but for branches like civil or material science and engineering physics its not good ,they face very much challenge to get placed
Students can apply for placement as they have prepared ourselves for industry ready. As usual students go for placement after third year. And they easily get placed. Because there are 300+ that visit chitkara University every year.
From around 6th semester we are eligible for the campus placement. Mainly companies like Infosys,TCS or some startup visit the college. The highest package last year was 22.5 LPA and the average package is around 4-5 LPA . Around 50-60 percent gets the intership in the company but around 20 -30 percent gets the placement in 6th semester. But after degree completion around 40-50 percent gets campus placement . If I didn't get any placement for around 8-10 LPA . I will go for higher studies.
First' of all the reason of joining this course is like in today's world IT is becoming very important they each and every thing is based on it that's the reason of joining this sector Area's which need improvement is IT lab because in some of the computer the button are break which need to be improved.
1- Hm i guess after 4 semester you may got the opportunity to shit in placement. 2 - Companies like google, royal Enfield, Microsoft and many other companies came 3 - Highest package may be 25,26 lakhs or average near 4,5 lakh here got. 4- CGPA must be required of 6 or more than 6 for placement . 5- My plan after getting degree is to get job and make my parents to take rest so in can work and they can rest.
After 6th semester students are eligible for campus placements and internship opportunities. They can also apply off campus for placements if they are not interested or satisfied with the college placements. Students can also prepare for exams like GATE, UGC NET etc. as there is lot of free time for students. They can also work on there startup ideas. Almost 80 percent students get placed in my branch from campus placements with an average of 9 lpa. My plan is to pursue higher studies after the degree as i am interested in the subject.
