Sant Longowal Institute of Engineering and Technology (SLIET) was deemed to be a university approved by AICTE. It is an autonomous institute. It is located at Sangrur, Punjab. 

Bhagalpur College of Engineering (BCE) is set by the Department of Science and Technology, Bihar and recognized by AICTE. It has a faculty strength of 68 members, 12 of them being PhD holders.

BCE

• They have a dedicated training and placement cell.
• 26 undergraduates were successfully placed in reputed companies.
• The top recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, HCL, Pie Infocomm, Honeywell, IBM, Infosys, etc.

Facilities 

SLIET 

• They have a central library, health centre, sports facilities and an innovation cell.
• There are 9 boys and 4 girls hostels having the capacity of 235 and 230 students respectively.
• Boys PG can accommodate 80 and girls PG can accommodate 81 students.

BCE 

• The campus is spread over 230 acres.
• The building complex includes academic complex, library, computer centre, hostel, mess, administrator and accounts wings.
• The academic complex includes classrooms, seminar rooms with video conferencing facilities and faculty block.
• It is a wifi enabled campus.

Both colleges are equally good in their own respective ways. Though according to placement records SLIET is better than BCE. Though this placement record changes every year with the participation of more students and the recruiting companies. It lastly depends on the student’s preference of location, affordability, environment and subject provided by the colleges and which they find suitable.
