M.Sc.Nursing is a postgraduate course in theories and principles of nursing and allied sciences. A candidate has to be a B.Sc. /B.Sc. (Hons) graduate in Nursing from a recognised university in order to be eligible for this course.

M.Sc. Nursing is a two year program which specializes in many branches; for example Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Nursing etc. The mode of admission is mostly throughEntrance Examination or through marks obtained in qualifying examination and personal interview.

The average tuition fee for the entire course ranges between 1.30 Lakhs INR to 2.80 Lakhs INR.

M.Sc. Madras Medical College is much better than Bangalore Medical College. It is also more reputed. However, if you aren’t from South India, then choosing Bangalore Medical College will be better. If you know English and Hindi, you can easily adjust at Bangalore. But you will need to learn Tamil if you are going to stay in Chennai.

Both institutes offer decent academics. But due to immense political pressure in Kolkata, there are routine interferences.
There are multiple hostels at both medical colleges. Madras Medical College Hostels are under MCI scanner, so cleanliness is a priority there. At Kolkata Medical College, only the Main boy’s hostel is under MCI scanner.

The teaching faculties are great. The infrastructure of the institute is quite good. As the institute is located in the capital, it is more or less like a private medical college.

After MMC, the 2nd best option is Stanley Medical College followed by Madurai and Thanjavur. You will get to witness huge case studies at Thanjavur as it serves as a single medical college for three nearby districts.

The campus life of Madras Medical College can be quite good. They offer decent hostel facilities. The hostels are well-maintained and clean. The rooms are three sharing. Mess facilities are. Food offered at mess is good.

The college conducts many cultural events throughout the year. REVIVALS - intercollege cultural fest, ENCIERRO - sports fest, and KALAIOMA - intercollege fest, are some of the events celebrated on campus. Other than these hostel days are celebrated separately for boys and girls.
