Government Medical College (GMC), Patiala was established on September 29, 1950. It is the second oldest medical college in the State of Punjab. The college is affiliated to Baba Farid University of Health Sciences. It offers MBBS, B.Sc, MD & MS courses at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in the field of Medicine. Apart from the basic clinical departments, some superspeciality departments are also functioning in the GMC, Patiala.

• Applications for admissions are required to be submitted online.

• Candidates must have passed 10+2 and Bachelor’s degree in Science to secure admission in UG and PG courses, respectively.
• Admissions will be granted on the basis of National and State Level Medical Entrance Exams such as National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET-UG), NEET-PG and Punjab Para Medical Entrance Test (PPMET).
• GMC, Patiala also offers Diploma courses. The admission is granted on the basis of marks in the qualifying examination.

GMC Important Dates

Candidates can apply for B.Sc, MBBS, MD and MS courses offered by GMC by following the below listed steps:

1. Visit the official website of CBSE NEET.
2. Select the “Apply NEET” link.
3. Fill the online application form and note down the Registration Number and Application ID after filling the mandatory details.
4. Upload the scanned copies of signature, thumb impression and photograph.
5. Pay the application fee by Credit Card, Debit Card or through Net Banking.
6. Take the printout of the confirmation page for future reference.
7. After the declaration of result, the candidates will have to apply for the state-wise or university-wise counselling procedure.

• Intermediate mark sheet and passing certificate
• UG mark sheet
• NEET-PG scorecard
• Character certificate and Category certificate
