Located at Solapur Road in Pune, Indira Institute of Aircraft Engineering (IIAE) was established in 2009. It is a private institute which is approved by the Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) under the Government of India and also affiliated to Savitribai Phule Pune University.

IIAE Pune offers Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) in two specializations. There are 2 specializations in AME Avionics course namely Electric System, Instrument System and Radio Navigation System and in AME Mechanical Aeroplane Turbine.

IIAE Pune AME Eligibility

The minimum requirement for the course is mentioned as follows:

Candidates should have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry from a recognized board

They should have completed Govt. Polytechnic Diploma in Engineering in Electrical and Mechanical branch.

They should have passed Higher qualifications in Science with Physics and Chemistry.
Also, candidates should not have any physical disabilities or color blindness.

Note: Foreign National and NRI candidates seeking admission in the course should submit the necessary security clearance document from Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India through DGCA.

IIAE Pune AME Selection Criteria

Admission to students will be granted on the “First Come First Serve” basis.
Thus, students who will apply first for the course will be allowed to appear in the entrance test.
This test will be conducted by the institute itself which will be of 30 mins duration.
Candidates who will qualify the test are selected for admission and their names will be displayed on the college notice board with the date of Interview.
Distant students shall be intimated through a letter.
The selected candidates need to report to the college on the scheduled date and time for interview.
The final selection will be based on overall merit.
Admission letter will be issued to the candidate after document inspection and fees paid.
The candidate shall be subjected to a medical examination before they are admitted to the training institute by a doctor possessing at least an MBBS degree.
Candidate also has to produce a Physical Fitness Certificate and No Color Blindness Certificate at the time of admission.

How to Apply for Indira Institute of Aircraft Engineering (IIAE Pune) 2023

The application for applying to the Indira Institute of Aircraft Engineering is available offline. The complete application process is mentioned below:

Candidates have to purchase the application from the office of IIAE Pune by paying cash of INR 300 or by sending DD of INR 300 drawn in the name of “Indira Institute of Aircraft Engineering”, payable at Pune only.
Candidates should mention their name and address unambiguously on the reverse of the DD.
Fill out the application form completely in all respect and submit it to the institute with the necessary documents required.
The candidate has to report to the institute on the instructed date.

Candidates need to produce a list of documents at the time of admission which includes:

Original and attested copies of HSC/ Diploma mark sheet and provisional certificate.
4 Latest Color Photographs.
10th & 12th mark sheet verification letter from an authorized board.
Passport is mandatory for appearing in practical at Airport/MRO facility.
Conduct Certificate.
Attested copy of the Transfer Certificate.
Migration Certificate (In case, if the candidate is from another state).
Medical fitness Certificate (Physical Fitness and No Color Blindness Certificate).
