CAEPHT Sikkim M.Tech Eligibility Criteria:
- The students must have a Bachelor’s Degree in the concerned subjects from a recognized Board with an OGPA of 6.00 out of 10.00.
- The students belonging to the category of SC/ST must have Bachelor’s Degree in the concerned subjects from a recognized Board with an OGPA of 5.50 out of 10.00.
- Students applying for M.Tech in the specializations in Farm Machinery & Power Engineering and Soil and Water Conservation Engineering should have completed B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering.
- The students applying for M.Tech in specializations in Food Engineering must have completed B.Tech in Agricultural Engineering/Food Process Engineering/Food Engineering/Food Technology.
CAEPHT Sikkim M.Tech Selection Criteria
- The selection of students is solely merit-based.
- The student must be a permanent resident of the NEH region, namely the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Sikkim, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Meghalaya.
- All India Entrance Test (AIET) conducted by ICAR is also considered for admission in this college. 25% of the seats are reserved for ICAR students.
- Out of the six seats, a few seats are reserved for SC.
How to Apply for CAEPHT Sikkim M.Tech?
- The application form for Master’s Degree programmes can be obtained from the Registrar, CAU, Dean of Constituent Colleges.
- The students have to appear on the prescribed date and time for counseling.
- Based on Merit, the student is issued an admission letter by The Registrar, CAU, Imphal.
- The student should report to the Dean with the original documents, which shall be verified by the staff of the college.
- The student is then prescribed the required fee and is admitted to the college.
Required Documents:
- Bachelor’s Degree Certificate/Provisional Degree Certificate and relevant marks card.
- 10+2 level examination or equivalent certificate from a recognized Board in the Science stream.
- H.S.C Certificate/Equivalent certificate and Marks card.
- Migration, College leaving and Conduct Certificate from the college that the student studied last.
- Medical Certificate from a Medical officer.
- Reservation certificate from an authority for students belonging to the reserved category.
Scholarships for M.Tech courses
- Two merit scholarships of 1500 rupees and 1200 rupees will be awarded to the students respectively based on their merit every month in each year.
- For first years the performance in their undergraduate examination will be considered.
- For the subsequent years, they have to maintain a CGPA of 7.75/10.00 to continue winning the scholarships.
