M.Sc. in Food Science and Nutrition: Admission Process

Admission to the course is based on the candidate’s performance in a relevant institutional/ State/ national-level entrance exam. Students qualifying the exam with the set minimum eligible cut-off score are invited for the subsequent round of counselling, based on which, the final selection is made.

WCC Chennai is comparably better than Stella Maris. Both colleges are reputed but WCC gives students more freedom in terms of extracurricular activities, dress code, etc. 

In terms of academics, it is good. The faculties are cooperative. The campus placement of WCC is decent. Students receive an average CTC of INR 2.48 LPA.

Suitability: This postgraduate course is highly suitable for candidates who want to develop a critical understanding of the study of Home Science. The MSc home science program covers a wider base of skills and knowledge and is better for the graduate who is sure about specific disciplines.

Eligibility criteria: The candidate must qualify for the following eligibility criteria to appear for the MSc home course:

  • Aspirants should have passed BSc 3 years degree after 10th and +2 with honors in home science and any other related home science.
  • BSc home science or BSc biology or BSc microbiology or some bachelor's degree with home science relatives.
