No entrance exam is conducted for the admissions as of now. However, the institute reserves the right to conduct one in case a need arises in future.
- Students seeking admission to any course should submit the duly filled application form along with the registration fees within the given time frame.
- The provisionally selected candidates then have to appear for the interview conducted by the Principal/Interview board. They should be accompanied by their mother, father or guardian.
- Several reservation guidelines are followed by the college as suggested by the government of Karnataka: SC – 15%, ST-03%, Category I – 04%, Category II A – 15%, Category III A – 04%, Category II B – 04%, Category III B – 05%.
The documents that need to be submitted at the time of counseling are:
- Mark sheet of the qualifying examination.
- Transfer Certificate and Character Certificate issued by the institution last attended.
- Eligibility certificate from the Mangalore University in the case of students who have passed the qualifying examination other than the one conducted by the Karnataka PU Board.
- Income certificate (if claiming any fee-concession for income below INR 44,500).
- Passport-size photo (1 copy) & stamp size photos (3 copies).
- Caste certificate (for a seat under Reservation Category) issued by the Revenue Authority of Karnataka State.

Vivekananda College Puttur PG Eligibility Criteria
- For getting admission to any postgraduate course, the candidate should have completed a bachelor's degree of a minimum of 3 years from Mangalore University or any other University recognized by UGC with a minimum of 45% aggregate marks.
- For M.Sc, the candidate should have studied respective subjects at the UG level.
- For M.Com, the student must have completed BBA or B.Com.
- For M.A. and Bachelors degree is applicable.
Vivekananda College Puttur PG Selection Criteria
- Admission is granted on the basis of marks scored in Undergraduate degree, followed by an interview by the college authorities.
- Students also are referred by the University/Government for admission to seats belonging to Government Quota and must submit the official order for admission.
