The Shree Siddaganga College of Arts and Commerce is a part of the Shree Siddaganga Matt, which a socio-religious foundation. Poojya Swamiji is the head of this Matt. The institute works on the guidelines of Trivida Dasohi and aims at providing all the necessities for the poor and needy, irrespective of their creed. The Matt has around 9000 orphans and poor in its various classes. These inmates are facilitated with food and shelter, which is free of cost. All the schools under the institute begin the day with a prayer and pravachana that is considered to be very significant for all.
This particular college of the Shree Siddaganga Matt came into being in the year 1982 and since then, it is applauded for its brilliant teaching methodology. The central location of the college is an added advantage. At present, the Institute has some 1800 students pursuing education in various streams. About 1000 students come from the rural parts of the nation. The tremendous rise in the number of students over the past 20 years is an outcome of the tremendous efforts of the teachers.
