During my time, admission was given based on a cutoff given by the college based on the 12th percentile. However, now the days CUET exam is conducted based on which cutoffs are provided by colleges. You can fill out the application form on the website of Delhi University and the dates are after the result. I availed the benefit of the EWS category reservation. During my time the 1st cutoff of our college was 99% for general, however, it was 98% for the EWS category.

Remarks:

Firstly we had to register with the DU portal and enter our preferences, our marks, our proofs of adress, caste, existence etc. they ask for your Adhar Card, Caste certificate, TC, merit certificates, 10-12 Marksheet, Photos, Electricity bill/pan bill etc., All self attested. Then we had to pay the minimal registration fee of about 200-300 rupees. With each subsequent cutoff, i got better college. I started with South campus, then KMC, then Hindu, and finally after the 4 cutoff, I got into SRCC. For BA Honors in Economics, to get into SRCC for Scheduled Caste Candidates, the fourth cut off was 96.5% and which was exactly equivalent to my cut off. Then I had to go to the portal again, withdraw my application from Hindu, and then enroll in again for SRCC. Hopefully my documents were verified easily within a day and then I had to pay the sum of 21000 for 1st semester fee and I was mailed with a confirmation message. One week later I was sent a mail from the library for further confirmation.

Ques
What is better, B.Com (H) from SRCC, BMS from Shaheed Sukhdev or IPM from IIM Indore?

● Top Answer By Shanaya Nautiyal on 23 Aug 21

Ans
All of these are very good courses to pursue, but all of them are different from each other and have their own advantages. Let's have a look at all the courses. B.Com (Hons) from SRCC: This course is among the best for commerce and the alumni network of SRCC is very good. It will help the corporate industry and helps the students to secure a good job in a reputed company. The course curriculum of this college is of high standards and it will have a great impact on your personal growth and development. BMS from Shaheed Sukhdev: This is another popular course and is much better than many of the BBA courses. But it lacks behind other courses such as B.Com and IPM in terms of recognition and exposure in the industry.  IPM from IIM Indore: It is a newly introduced course and there is not any alumni base. This makes it uncertain for some companies to visit during placements. The placement opportunities and the industry exposure available in this course are still unknown. But IPM can be a very good option for personal development.  These are a small introduction for all the courses, and now you can choose one from any of them according to priorities and requirements.

Ques
What does it take to get into SRCC?

● Top Answer By Vinay Kumar on 10 Jan 22

Ans
To get into SRCC, your class 12th results will be the most important. To score a 95 and above 8-10 hours of daily studying is necessary. Revision is one of the key parts. If you also have a proper, more than 75% attendance in your 12th, you are good to go. Subjects like accountancy and economics cannot be mugged up in a day, so start preparing for them as early as possible. Try finishing your syllabus before your Pre-Boards and attempt prelims, which will give you an idea about the exam and the proper time frame to complete it in. Try understanding the practical applicability of the content. Practice as much as possible. There is no other alternative for it. Set targets for yourself and complete them. Study to learn something new and not only to clear a stage in life.

Ques
How is life at SRCC?

● Top Answer By Mandira Soni on 10 Jan 22

Ans
One of my friends studied at SRCC. According to her, life at the college is amazing as well as welcoming. Here are some facts about SRCC that you should know: It has the best student crowd. You will be surrounded by toppers all around the country. The academic environment will obviously be very competitive as well. The class timings are from 8:30 am to 5:15 pm, with different schedules for every section.  Classes are very interactive with really good discussions taking place, hence learning a lot. You will find the library always filled with students, especially during internals.  There you will see people preparing for professional courses, doing their assignments, reading newspapers and going through the amazing book collection. There are around 30-40 student-run societies and cells which do a commendable job in organizing various events and fests.  You get a lot of exposure and learn teamwork and other soft skills. Crossroads, the cultural fest of SRCC is an extravaganza with amazing performances and artists.  You will also get to enjoy cultural fests of all the DU colleges. You will meet an amazing bunch of people here, each one with their unique skills and talents. So, yes life at SRCC is definitely more fun when compared to other colleges.

Ques
Which is better SRCC or Hansraj College?

● Top Answer By Shivam Sharma on 01 Oct 21

Ans
SRCC is definitely better than Hansraj College. I say this based on the reviews I got from my friends from both institutes.  SRCC is India's best commerce college. It has an exceptional teaching faculty. SRCC faculties are authors cum professors. Most of the books that you will refer to study are written by SRCC professors.  It also ranks first in undergraduate placements. In the 2020 placement drive, the highest CTC offered was 31 LPA and the average CTC offered was 8 LPA. Some of the major recruiters at the institute are BCG, Deloitte, Wipro, Google, etc.  Because SRCC is located in the north campus, the campus life and atmosphere are among the greatest that a student may find in India. Crossroads, the SRCC cultural festival, is the most well-known DU event. It's a great college. Given the choice between SRCC and Hansraj, you should go for the former.

Ques
How is SRCCs GBO programme? How are the placements and the faculty? What is the course structure like?

● Top Answer By Rohan Gupta on 10 Jan 22

Ans
According to the students of SRCC, the GBO is a really underrated and underappreciated course, but has a potential to be considered one of the top management courses in India. The course started with an inclination towards international management. There are few benefits to the course. SRCC has a brand value. It is one of the best commerce colleges in the country. The Faculty members are well experienced.  Every faculty associated with GBO has excelled in his or her field.  Lectures on Communication and International trade also take place.  The Principal takes classes on Financial Management. Taking a Management course is an investment which would give a proper return in the future.  With a fee of 80,000 per semester and students getting a salary package of 9.5 lakhs is a decent offer. GBO, therefore will for sure provide a platform to start off your career but it depends on how you modify yourself and enhance your skills to get maximum benefits.

These are done through webinars, corporate guest lectures, workshops, alumni sessions, industrial visits, and internship opportunities. Therefore, it is recommended that GBO at SRCC is worth joining and has good future prospects.

Ques
What percentage is needed for taking admission in SRCC?

● Top Answer By Suhani Sharma on 10 Jan 22

Ans
One of my friends studied at Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC). According to him it is a fulfilment for every commerce aspirant. It is ranked as one of the best commerce colleges in the country. It offers two undergraduate courses - B.Com (H) and B.A Economics (H). For taking admission in B.Com(H), you need to score a minimum 98% (Best 4) in Class 12 boards or other equivalent examinations.  It is compulsory for students to have Mathematics in their class 12th but not a compulsion to add it in Best 4. BA Economics (H) requires you to score 98.5% (Best 4) in Class 12 boards and it is compulsory to include Mathematics in Best 4 while calculating the percentage. You must study any three of the listed subjects which is mentioned in the DU website for the respective course, otherwise 2.5% gets deducted.

Ques
What is the admission procedure in SRCC for B.Com?

● Top Answer By Jia Bhatia on 10 Jan 22

Ans
SRCC provides honours courses only in B.Com (hons) or Economics (hons) for which Maths is compulsory in 12th.  The procedure is as follows:  You will be selected on the basis of calculating your best 4 subject’s marks making sure that 1 language is counted in it.  Fill in the online form and mention the college names as preference.  Wait for the cutoff and see whether you have cleared SRCC cutoff or not.  Then go to the college with all your academic documents, including identity or address proofs to complete the admission process.  It is recommended that you score a 97.5 - 97.25% or above if you are from the unreserved category.

Ques
Can I get admission in SRCC without studying Mathematics in class 12?

● Top Answer By Nikita Jain on 10 Jan 22

Ans
Delhi University almost every year comes up with a different set of rules and regulations.  So even though you can get admission by securing 2.5% more than the declared cut off, however, the final list for General candidates was 97.25% last year. You might have to score a 99.75% in your class 12th examinations.  In case cut offs increase, you will need a perfect 100 in 4 subjects. So getting in is really difficult. If you are not from the general category, then the cut offs will be lower and you might get through even without mathematics. However, in the beginning, the admission requirements change often, hence you may never know that some small changes in the rules might get you in. So always follow the official website of DU for any updates.

Ques
Which is the better option: SRCC or to pursue CA after standard 12?

● Top Answer By Swati Sinha on 11 Jan 22

Ans
According to the reviews online, SRCC is a much more reliable option than to pursue CA right after your class 12. Here are some things that will be better if you choose SRCC: SRCC will play a major role in developing your personality. CA tends to limit your learning and knowledge to only classes and studies. But SRCC will give you a chance to explore and learn various industry related things. SRCC will give you proper training which will be relevant when you join the industry. Studying in a college is basically like working in a professional environment. You have to maintain punctuality and prioritize your work. Lastly, even if you are unsure about studying CA, studying in a college will give you clarity. Therefore, it is suggested that you opt for SRCC rather than rushing with the stress of being a CA.
