Placement Experience:

There are no such final placements. Most of the students opt for Government Jobs wherein they give examinations for that. There are not much companies in Mizoram to be known. There are entrepreneurs but mostly people opt for government jobs and teaching line.

Remarks:

I applied to St. Edmunds College and St. Anthony’s College other than my College. I got seats in all the colleges I applied to, but I chose my college because it is ranked number 1 among other NE colleges. The admission process was done through Online Mode since it was during Covid Period, but I went there to pick up the admission receipt. We were selected based on our Class 12 Board Results.

What I Liked

Professors are well qualified and always ready to help
The college campus lies on aizawl with good scenery and healthy environment
There's diversity among the professors .

What I didn’t like

Course Curriculum Overview:

My course is chemistry and it is good,we study two chemistry, chemistry major and chemistry minor it is good the professors are quite qualified, about the exams the first internal test conduct after 1 month of the college start date and finals are conducted after 5 months.

Remarks:

I applied for the college because of the nirf ranking,the college lies in my neighborhood state so it is easy to go and the place is safe as it lies on the north-eastern region of india,i applied for also but the cost are higher and expensive compared to my current college

The Pachhunga University College

What I Liked

I really like the campus as it is vase, i can roam around all day in the campus when i don’t have my class… The building and the facilities are also really good and is maintained perfectly.
The faculties are good also in person…. They just not teaches us well but they do understand our problems and help us in our weaknesses which is very effective for us…
The teaching method is also really good, the thing i like the most is visualising the teaching. It is more easy to understand and makes a lot of improvement amongst us. The classrooms are also clean and fresh

What I didn’t like

As in Mizoram the dresses and style are really kept high, so sometimes as it is the largest college, it is hard for middle class family
The thing i don’t like about this college is that the students have no much interaction in between

Course Curriculum Overview:

As having a banker in family, i choose to study economics so that i can continue the my family business and i can make a good income... The teaching methods are also good and the course is perfect for me as i choose banking as a dream job

Remarks:

As it is near our house, the transportation would be more easy and less expense so i choose this college and also it is the best accredited by NAAC in Mizoram, i choose this college. Hoping i could build my career here

An honest review of Pachhunga University College

What I Liked

The education provided is excellent, the teaching staffs are great.
Extra curricular activities provided are great. Various clubs existed which students can join through which they can improve their skills.
Students from poorer families are given priorities and there are several programs through which they can earn money.

What I didn’t like

The parking area is huge, but given that lots of students commute by their own two wheelers, it can be a little crowded.
The college provides four buses for the commutation of the students, however due to the huge amount of students, number of buses should be increased.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course i choose will help me greatly for my future career, the teachers explanations are easily understandable for the students. However, with the introduction of NEP system, it is disturbing for the main courses given that students are given different subjects from other courses such as science for arts students. This hinders the proces of excelling at one's chosen subject.

Remarks:

The courses offered are eligible for those who cleared their class 12th board exams, the applicants are chosen through their combined scores from their last board exams and the college's entrance test or the CUET exams. There are reservations for those who hold placement in the board exam's top 10, and for the subject toppers in their respective subjects of excellence
