JSGP, Sonepat is India’s first Public Policy School, offering undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral courses across Economics and Public Policy. JSGP’s popular three-year fully residential B.A. (Hons.) in Public Policy programme is a unique and first-of-its-kind interdisciplinary programme in India. The programme offers students exposure to the real-world practices in the world of public policy through internships, collaborations and research projects. Students of Public Policy at JSGP get internship opportunities in national and international organizations like IIM, Deloitte, Delhi Dialogue Commission, Bennett & Coleman, etc. Apart from that, The institute also offers B.A. in economics, MA in Public Policy and MA in economics courses as well as a Ph.D programme in fields like Urban Studies, Public Health, Gender Studies, etc.
For admissions to the JSGP, candidates are required to submit valid SAT/ACT scores along with all the necessary documents. Candidates who have not appeared for ACT or SAT need to take JSAT for admission to JSGP. The selection process of B.A. (Hons.) Economics and B.A. (Hons.) Public Policy involves evaluation based on an applicant’s personal statement, supplementary questions, Class 10+2 scores, faculty interview, and JSAT/SAT/ACT. For admission to PG programme at JSGP, applicants are selected through two rounds based on online Public Policy Entrance Test (PPET) and statement of purpose followed by a personal interview (face to face or Skype). The application fee for the UG degree courses at JSGP is INR 3000 and the application fee for PG courses is INR 1000.
SGP offers a well-rounded education to students and exposes them to the field in both rural and urban contexts and actual institutional settings. The candidates can apply through online and offline mode. Accepted entrance scores for UG courses are 55% in JSAT, 1200+ in SAT or 28+ in ACT scores. Admission is conducted through 3 rounds: 1.
