Admissions at the Institute of mathematical applications (IOMA) is based on both B.Sc and M.A./M.Sc. courses shall be made based on the entrance test. The duration of the entrance is 2 hours and previous years papers are available on the website.

The institute offers Postgraduate scholarship schemes in Science, Mathematics and Biotechnology to promote and encourage meritorious students to pursue higher studies in Physical science, chemical science, Mathematical science, Earth & Geological Science, Computer science, Biological science including Biotechnology.

The applicants must be permanent resident or domicile of Odisha, must have to pass a regular full-time degree in any of the above-mentioned courses from a recognized university/college. Self-financing postgraduate programs are not eligible.
