Deshbandhu College is a decent college under Delhi University. The infrastructure of the institute has improved a lot over the last few years. Deshbandhu College is well-known for its library facilities. Political Science department, Hindi department, and Science faculty are some of the best faculties in the college. The college has many societies as well, in which you can take part.  

You should give preference to PGDAV or Motilal Nehru. These two colleges belong to the same tier and offer good academics and placements. PGDAV College placements are above average. For the 2020-21 session, more than 150 recruiters visited the campus placement. The highest CTC offered to students was INR 19.50 LPA. If you are a sports enthusiast, you should prefer PGDAV, it has excellent sports facilities.  Matilal has a decent placement record. Students with good academics get job offers through campus placements. The highest CTC offered to the students ranges between INR 10-12 LPA.

Deshbandhu Collge is better for B.Sc. It has excellent science faculty. The college also offers unique courses such as Industrial Chemistry. It offers best facilities and learning resources for Science subjects. The science labs are well-equipped with latest technology and instruments. Deshbandu offers a good campus life as well. 

Among the four colleges it is recommended you go for Motilal Nehru College as it is much better in all aspects than the others mentioned. The whole campus is wifi enabled.  The computer lab has more than 100 computers and is well updated with all the necessary softwares. Hostel facilities are also available including basic amenities.  The sports ground is huge, the cultural team actively participates in singing, dancing and drama.  The Library has all books related to your course, Book bank is also there to take books for the whole year without paying a single penny.  Canteen is located at the end of the college which provides healthy and affordable meals. Motilal is the second best college of South Campus after Shri Venkiteshwara and it boasts its infrastructure having the biggest library in the entire Delhi University. The history department is the best in Motilal.

Deshbandhu College is better than Shyam Lal College. Following are the reasons for the same: The alumni of the college are well-reputed and placed across the globe.  Deshbandhu College provides various opportunities for students to learn different things such as Arts, Sports, Maths, Literature, History, etc. It offers master’s oriented courses. Other than excellent academics, you will have access to various sports and extracurricular activities.  The faculties at both institutes are good.

Deshbandhu is comparatively a better institution than Shyam Lal college.  They are superior not only in academics but also in sports, extracurricular activities and they even mould the student to his best self. Deshbandhu has a better infrastructure which is appropriate for an educational institution. Ramanujan is better than Deshbandhu in every aspect. They offer the best faculty and infrastructure. Ramanujan college was previously Deshbandhu evening college but now it has transitioned to a morning college. Both the colleges are next to each other with separate buildings. Ramanujan definitely has much better infrastructure, faculty and student crowd than Deshbandhu college. If you want to pursue B.Com, Ramanujan will be a better option as it is the third largest college for commerce education under Delhi University. Ramanujan has a few good societies where students can participate. The commerce society of Ramanujan is the best in the college. The placement situation is more or less the same in both the colleges. The downside to Deshbandhu is the environment. It has a very political environment with frequent conflicts happening every time during university elections. Therefore for focussing mainly on your studies you could go for Ramanujan.

One of my friends studied at Zakir Husain Delhi College (ZHDC). According to him, it was quite good considering the overall academics and environment of the college.  It is said to be the best college for commerce aspirants. B.Com (Hons.) is the most popular program at ZHDC. It has a huge demand among students.  They have a highly experienced faculty including both permanent and guest lecturers. Students from the B.Com department actively participate in fests, cultural activities, inter-college competitions, etc. Their placements are really great when compared to other colleges of its level. If you consider the physics branch, Deshbandhu college is a better choice. Here are some reasons to consider it over Swami Shraddhanand College for a B.Sc in physics: Their physics department is really good with a highly experienced faculty. They have good laboratories and over 20 lab assistants in the physics department. The library consists of a really good collection of Physics books as well as other reading and research materials. Their students' performance is very good in exams like JAM or JEST. They have a Physics Society and many activities are organized by this society of Deshbandhu college. It is said to be really good. If you are thinking of college placements and it is your concern then forget to get placed from any of these colleges.  The only way is to prepare for IIT JAM, JEST, etc. exams for further studies in physics. The connectivity of transportation of Deshbandhu college is better than the Swami Shraddhanand college because it is far away outside Delhi that is the college is located on karnal GT road. Therefore, choose the one that meets your requirements.
