• Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering at York University is offered as 4 years teaching program.
  • It is an on-campus program offered on both a full-time and part-time basis.
  • The program is consists of co-op and a BA in International Development Studies which is available for all of the Engineering programs.
  • Mechanical Engineering program is a multidimensional discipline and includes exploring new sources of renewable energy, developing new tools for medical diagnostics, and devising ways to create a cleaner and healthier environment.
  • Students will start with learning the fundamental knowledge that serves as the foundation for mechanical engineering and also can do their specialization in the following courses:
    • Engineering Graphics and CAD Modelling
    • Machine Elements Design
    • Solid Mechanics and Materials
    • Micro and Macro Manufacturing Techniques
    • Fluid Mechanics
  • After 1st year, students will have the chance to focus on and explore what students are most passionate about Mechanism Design, Manufacturing Engineering, Instrumentation, Electrical Systems, Fluid Dynamics, Solid Mechanics, and CAD (computer-aided design).
  • Aside from all the technical know-how, students will pick up some great soft skills – effective communication, project management, law, public policy, and leadership.
  • After 2nd year students can also take part in the co-op program, which will be an early start when it comes to finding their dream job.
