• The Food and Bioprocessing Masters Program is offered by the Department of Bioresource Engineering on the Macdonald Campus.
  • It targets the design of equipment and processes for the manufacturing and management of bio-products such as food, feed, biopharmaceuticals, biochemical, biopolymer among other bio-based materials.
  • The program bridges the two concepts to offer avenues for the development of the uses of biological resources while respecting food production and food security.
  • The goals of this program are to provide up-to-date world-class knowledge on techniques for adequate process design and management of biomass production strategies for the delivery of quality food, natural fibre, biochemicals, biomaterials, and biofuels, in a sustainable and environment-friendly way that benefits all. Training activities will include laboratory research and/or industrial/government internships.
  • The expected duration for completing the M.Sc. degree is 1-year.
  • Students usually start in September and finish by the end of the following August.
