• The Juris Doctor is a 3-years full-time program at the University of Windsor.
  • The program is on the basis of a full-time(3-years) or part-time (6-years).
  • This program gives students an opportunity to enhance their understanding and knowledge in Law.
  • The main topics of first-year are:
    • Property
    • Contracts
    • Access to Justice
    • Criminal Law and Procedure
    • Legal Writing and Research
    • Constitutional Law
    • Indigenous Legal Traditions
  • Civil Procedure is the only required course in the second year
  • In either the second or third year, each student must complete the following courses:
    • The Legal Professions 
    • Administrative Law 
    • Torts 
  • Students must also complete a research paper worth at least 50% of the grade in any course, one course from a group of courses that give a perspective of the legal process and legal theory and one course from a group of transnational law.
