Students may pursue a service learning course in their third or fourth year or work as an intern in the West Lafayette/Lafayette area. Sociology students interested in legal professions are encouraged to join the Purdue Pre-Law Club. The Social Research Institute is associated with sociology.
All liberal arts majors prepare students with the skills identified as contributing to managerial success: communicating and listening well, possessing insights into others, creative/critical thinking, problem solving, and the ability to make connections across complex ideas.
