This program is specifically designed for students interested in preventing and treating human illness and injury by providing a broad range of health care services under the direction of a physician or surgeon. Physician assistant is one of the fastest growing areas of healthcare. The pre-physician assistant concentration includes prerequisites for physician assistant school; however, this program also goes beyond the minimum requirements to ensure that students are prepared for the rigors of a professional program. Examples of courses within the curriculum include general biology, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, calculus, physics, psychology, sociology, and statistics.
