This program is specifically designed for students interested in examining, diagnosing, treating, and managing diseases, injuries, and disorders of the eye. The pre-optometry concentration includes prerequisites for optometry school; however, this program also goes beyond the minimum requirements to ensure that students are prepared for the rigors of a professional program. Examples of courses within the curriculum include general biology, anatomy and physiology, medical terminology, general chemistry, organic chemistry, physics, calculus, physics, psychology, sociology, and statistics.
