Undergraduates in one of the majors are able to study Earth Sciences at the cutting edge of the discipline. One of the great benefits of being a major is enjoying small upper level class sizes while being able to utilize state-of-the-art instrumentation for thesis projects. The undergraduate majors support a healthy Geology club, which combines social functions with field trips. They also have a number of undergraduate research projects for students looking for experience in the field.

This concentration fulfills state certification requirements to teach high school (grades 9-12) Earth and Space Science through the AP/honors level and biology, chemistry, environmental science and physics up to but not including the AP/honors level.
