ASU Housing Selection Criteria
The housing at Arizona State University is allotted based on several factors such as application date, major chosen, gender, and vacancy. Students are also free to choose their roommates by submitting a request at My ASU Housing by filling roommate finder application.
- Freshman Students: first year students will be alloted on-campus housing with students who share a similar major.
- Upper Division students: all the upper division students can live in any residence throughout the campus except second year Barret students. The room for second year barret students is allocated to the honor community.
- Family Housing: family housing is allocated to the married candidates. The candidate must provide their marriage certificate while applying for family housing along with driving license and required documents.
The university offers a wide range of accommodation options for all the students as per convenience, preferences and affordability. While first students can only live with students sharing the similar major, upper division students can live in any residence they have chosen to live in. The students must make sure they apply for on-campus accommodation by the given deadline as the rooms are limited.
