• Completion of all College of Arts and Sciences requirements (including the Liberal Arts Core with courses from specific categories and a major in one of the listed content areas), combined with 37-40 credits of education courses (including methods and student teaching), for a total of 124-127 credits, are required. Some students may need to complete total program credits that are slightly greater than 124-127. In addition, completion of New York State testing and other certification requirements apply.   • Students in the dual programs complete a program of study offered jointly by the College of Arts and Sciences and the School of Education: English education; mathematics education; science education (biology, chemistry, earth science, or physics); or social studies education. Students also complete the requirements for a College of Arts and Sciences major in the subject area.
