This accredited program addresses state-approved standards for the development of educational leaders set by the Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium and includes the following topics:
- Teaching, learning and assessment
- School diversity and current educational issues
- Finance, law and human resources
- Teacher leadership and professional growth
- Research and technology
For students who complete this program and want to pursue a Washington State administrator certification, they may return within five years for an additional 12-credit internship and seminar series, resulting in a residency principal or program administrator (or both) certificate. Alternatively, candidates may apply directly to CityU?s?MEd Leadership with Administrator Certification 45-credit program.
