Students pursuing a master of education (M.Ed.) in health education may select a thesis or non-thesis option. The thesis option requires 36 hours of course work (21 in the major, nine in the minor, and six hours of thesis work). The non-thesis option requires 36 hours of course work (21 in the major and 15 in the minor). As background prerequisites, a health education major is expected to have a minimum of 18 semester hours of health education course work on the bachelor’s degree or complete graduate leveling courses.
