The Department of Art offers a multiplicity of perspectives on art, design and visual culture that include but are not limited to: creative ecstasy, critical incisiveness, historical consciousness, political activism, professional know-how, punk refusal, corporate ingenuity, refined craft, social engagement, stylish design, and oftentimes that which approaches personal enlightenment.Art students are immersed in a supportive and creative climate where they gain a rigorous foundation in art history, theory, criticism, and studio practice.
