The most established program of its kind in Minnesota, our Master of Science in Accountancy has recently undergone a significant update and now includes more specialized content, unique professional development opportunities, and schedule flexibility. These content and structural changes have allowed our students to begin working earlier, while completing valuable, relevant accounting and business coursework to reach the required 150 credits hours of education for CPA licensure. Our graduates are recognized by corporate partners as being better prepared, more experienced and able to exhibit the professional and personal attributes that set them apart.

Highlights of the recent MS in Accountancy program changes:

  • Qualified St. Thomas undergraduate accounting majors can apply to begin graduate MSA coursework as early as the J-term of their junior year, or during their senior year, in conjunction with their remaining undergraduate requirements
  • Graduate courses during the spring, summer and fall terms are delivered in the evenings, allowing you to complete internships or accept full-time employment while continuing your studies
  • Students with a completed undergraduate accounting degree can complete the program as a full-time graduate student in as little as 11 months
