Coursework covers areas such as energy and power systems, fluids and heat transfer, product design, modeling and simulation, materials, and manufacturing. The degree program has two options: A course-based path which requires completion of 10 graduate-level courses or a project-based path which requires completion of 8 courses and a design project. The design project allows students to deeply explore an industrially relevant technical problem in collaboration with our faculty and the student's company. The student gains from the experience with industry while deepening their understanding of advanced engineering concepts.
