Instruction is centered on the learner and on what is required of educators in today's technologically-rich learning environment. Coursework is project-oriented, utilizing innovative electronic portfolios focusing on reflective learning practices and review by peers and colleagues. The Master of Arts in Education, Educational Technology encompasses a wide variety of academic, technical, and practical exposures, certifying that holders of the degree are highly competent teaching strategists, leaders, and presenters. Participants in the program not only learn to integrate relevant teaching strategies with current technologies, but are expected to develop new procedures that augment learning through the use of technology. Students focus on developing multimedia and web-based delivery skills as a means for teaching and learning, as well as on building a practical understanding of hardware, software and network applications.
