CUNY York College International Admissions
CUNY York College has a diverse student body coming from over 50 countries. The admission process for international students is slightly different from domestic students. International students are required to submit extra documents, give standardised tests and apply for the visa process accordingly.

English Proficiency test
The English Proficiency test must be taken by students on a temporary visa, who have studied in a non-English background. TOEFL, IELTS or PTE are all accepted by the CUNY. There are such minimum score mentioned by the college.

After the student is selected for admission, the university will email the Certificate of Eligibility for a Student Visa (Form I-20 A/B). Once received, all the details should be checked carefully.

Undergraduate applications must be accompanied by the appropriate application fee and official copies of any documents (i.e. GED/TASC, SAT/ACT and/or TOEFL/ IELTS/PTE scores) that are required to support the student's eligibility for admission.
Admission is based on a variety of factors, and each applicant is considered individually. Freshmen are strongly encouraged to take a college preparatory program in high school that includes courses in English, Mathematics, Laboratory Science, Social Science, Foreign Language and Fine Arts. Admission are generally based on GPA and SAT/ACT scores.
For PG programs, York College Office of Admissions will gather and screen the applications for minimum requirements, initial processing, and GPA calculation.
Admissions decisions will be made by the Graduate Advisory Committee of the department. In some cases, applicants may be invited for an on-site interview.
