• The Department encourages interdisciplinary and comparative approaches to teaching and research and maintains productive ties with a variety of programs, including Religious Studies, English, Comparative Literature, Medieval Studies, Philosophy, Linguistics, Italian Studies, History of Art, and the Penn Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology
  • Some of their graduates go on to pursue graduate studies and an academic career. But most go on to careers in education, law, medicine, and business. Increasingly employers and professional schools appreciate the value of such an education that included courses from diverse disciplines and that develops problem-solving abilities and excellent verbal and writing skills.
