Completion of the master?s program along with passage of the appropriate Missouri Content Area Assessment exam will qualify the candidate for certification at the middle school level in the State of Missouri. Candidates must complete a minimum of 36 credit hours to meet degree requirements. Upon receiving written notice of unconditional admission from the Dean of Graduate Studies, and prior to registration, students should confer with their academic advisor to prepare their graduate plan of study (GAP). Portfolio requirements exist for the M.Ed. in School Teaching Middle School program which includes an electronic portfolio that meets Missouri Standards for Professional Educators (MoSPE).
