Biomedical engineers have a unique way of seeing and solving challenges as they work in collaboration with diverse teams that include medical professionals and scientists, as well as mechanical and electrical engineers, among others. They also design and manufacture diagnostic and therapeutic devices and imaging equipment that give doctors and medical researchers the tools to identify and treat a wide range of illnesses and injuries.
The program will include:
- Courses in engineering, physics, chemistry, math, biology, bioengineering, and numerous electives
- Well-designed lab experiences
- Summer industrial internships
- Capstone senior-year independent design project that emphasizes technical writing and oral communication
